About Our Founder

Bryon Smith, Founder FIrst Avenue Consulting

Bryon has comprehensive Human Resources skills and extensive experience in Human Resource policy and program development, recruitment and talent management, compensation design, performance management and employee relations. Bryon’s career includes 18 years of corporate human resources experience from a top-tier financial institution where he provided full-cycle HR support and led people-centered strategies and change management initiatives.

During his successful corporate career, Bryon held various leadership roles in Human Resource Management, Talent Management, Culture, Diversity, and Learning and Development. He supported a broad range of business groups including Information Technology, Marketing, Communications, Legal Professionals, Financial Planning, Retail Banking and specialized Compliance groups, to name a few.

Later, he was the director of Human Resources for a national and independent professional services company. There, he re-established the Human Resources function, employee programs and services, and contributed to developing business solutions to support extensive growth, employee engagement and an award winning culture.

As an experienced Human Resource Professional and Change Management Practitioner, Bryon understands the challenges and growth patterns of business and recognizes the attention to people and culture that is required at all stages. He has provided foundational HR support to start-up and early stage companies, developed programs and consistent people practices that supported companies during periods of rapid growth and he has helped companies achieve sustained results during business transformations and change initiatives.

Known as a trusted business advisor and coach to business leaders and entrepreneurs, Bryon offers clients trustworthy, value-added, and professional expertise to support them in achieving their business objectives.

He established First Avenue Consulting to provide small and medium-sized businesses with customized HR solutions that are sustainable, practical, and value-added.
